How many Porsche cars are on the road?
There were 229,611 Porsche cars licensed in Great Britain at the end of March 2026, and a further 51,678 declared off the road (SORN). That is 0.68% of all licensed cars, or about 1 in 146, making Porsche the No. 27 make on the road. That is the most on the road at any year end since 1994. Diesel makes up 9.4% of licensed Porsche cars, against 28.1% of all cars.

14 Porsche models have a page of their own. The most common is the Porsche Macan, with 54,348 licensed: 23.7% of all Porsche cars on the road. Over the last year the Macan added the most cars on the road (+6,758, +14.2%) and the Boxster lost the most (−752, −3.4%). The totals above also count models too small for a page of their own.

In 2025, 87.5% of MOT tests of Porsche cars were passed first time, from 190,827 tests. Cars of the same ages pass 72.3% of the time, so Porsche does better than average for the age of its cars, by 15.2 points. That ranks Porsche No. 6 of the 50 makes with enough tests to compare. 3.1% of Porsche tests found at least one dangerous defect, against 7.3% for all cars.
Among Porsche models with enough tests, the 911 does best for its age (+21.8 points against cars of the same ages) and the Taycan does worst (+2.5 points). Average age at test for Porsche cars: 12.9 years.
