How many Jeep cars are on the road?

There were 90,483 Jeep cars licensed in Great Britain at the end of March 2026, and a further 19,946 declared off the road (SORN). That is 0.27% of all licensed cars, or about 1 in 371, making Jeep the No. 31 make on the road. That is the most on the road at any year end since 1994. Diesel makes up 39.3% of licensed Jeep cars, against 28.1% of all cars.

Jeep MOT reliability

In 2025, 72.8% of MOT tests of Jeep cars were passed first time, from 69,196 tests. Cars of the same ages pass 75.5% of the time, so Jeep does worse than average for the age of its cars, by 2.7 points. That ranks Jeep No. 39 of the 50 makes with enough tests to compare. 6.6% of Jeep tests found at least one dangerous defect, against 7.3% for all cars.

Among Jeep models with enough tests, the Grand Cherokee does best for its age (+5.2 points against cars of the same ages) and the Patriot does worst (−10.0 points). Average age at test for Jeep cars: 10.0 years.
