How we use engine sizes.
Jeep Compass fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Jeep Compass from 2007, and still lists it. On the WLTP test (listings 2019 to 2026), official combined fuel economy for its petrol, diesel and petrol hybrid versions ranges from 29.4 to 52.3 mpg, with CO2 of 122 to 221 g/km; electric versions have an official range of 277 to 350 miles; plug-in hybrid versions are rated at 137.1 to 183.4 mpg (weighted). On the older NEDC test (listings 2007 to 2018), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 29.7 to 64.2 mpg, with CO2 of 117 to 226 g/km.

Plug-in hybrid figures are VCA’s weighted values, which count driving on battery power as
well as on fuel.
Electric cars produce no exhaust CO2; range and miles per kWh are VCA’s official figures.
Engine sizes are rounded to the nearest 0.1 litre. A version is one line in
VCA’s data (description, gearbox, engine and fuel), counted once however many years it was
listed.

Defect
On certain vehicles the under-seat intermediate connection or the rear connection to the Integrated Dual Charging Module (IDCM) may not be tightened to the proper torque which may cause overheating of the terminal with risk of thermal incident to surrounding parts.
Remedy
Check the conformity of the fastener torque on the 12V cable connection and if required replacement of the cable.
