How we use engine sizes.
Hyundai Kona fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Hyundai Kona from 2018, and still lists it. On the WLTP test (listings 2019 to 2026), official combined fuel economy for its petrol, diesel and petrol hybrid versions ranges from 33.2 to 60.1 mpg, with CO2 of 106 to 194 g/km; electric versions have an official range of 169 to 320 miles. On the older NEDC test (listings 2018), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 40.4 to 67.3 mpg, with CO2 of 111 to 158 g/km; electric versions have an official range of 194 to 300 miles.

Defect
Some vehicles fitted with a high voltage battery may have internal cell voltage deviation. If this occurs it may result in the risk of an electrical short circuit inside the battery. Until the high voltage battery software has been updated we recommend the vehicle to be parked in a well ventilated area. The vehicle can be used as normal.
Remedy
Hyundai has launched a Safety Recall to update the battery management system (BMS) software.
A recall applies to cars built on particular dates or with particular VINs, not to every Hyundai Kona. The details come from manufacturers through DVSA, which says they may be delayed or
