Nissan Almera fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Nissan Almera from 2000, when the data begins, to 2006. On the NEDC test (listings 2000 to 2006), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 30.4 to 49.6 mpg, with CO2 of 152 to 223 g/km.

DVSA lists 12 safety recalls for the Nissan Almera since 1992, the first in 2000. The most recent was launched on 17 August 2018.

Defect
In 2013 Nissan announced a Recall campaign to replace Takata SPI front passenger airbag inflators. A non-dessicated passenger airbag inflator was used for the replacement. Although there have been no known incidents associated with inflators of this type Nissan has decided to replace all inflators previously repaired with a non-dessicated inflator to a new dessicated version.
Remedy
Replace the front passenger airbag inflator with a new dessicated type.
