Nissan X-Trail fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Nissan X-Trail from 2002 to 2021. On the WLTP test (listings 2019 to 2021), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 33.2 to 43.5 mpg, with CO2 of 163 to 207 g/km. On the older NEDC test (listings 2002 to 2018), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 28.3 to 57.6 mpg, with CO2 of 129 to 237 g/km.

Defect
For affected vehicles the lithium-ion battery controller (LBC) on some X-Trail (T33) vehicles may not properly maintain diagnostic robustness. It has been found that these ICs may misdiagnose abnormalities and as a result the system may enter fail-safe mode during driving which restricts motor output and prohibits charging. Under certain conditions a loss of motive power may occur and the vehicle may stop while driving due to the loss of propulsion.
A recall applies to cars built on particular dates or with particular VINs, not to every Nissan X-Trail. The details come from manufacturers through DVSA, which says they may be delayed or
