How many MG 6s are left in Great Britain?
There were 1,191 MG 6s licensed in Great Britain at the end of March 2026, and a further 267 declared off the road (SORN).

The share with an engine of 1,801cc to 1,900cc has grown from 16.0% in 2014 to 47.0%. Petrols made up 83.8% of those licensed in 2014 and 52.6% in 2025.

How we use engine sizes.
MG 6 fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the MG 6 from 2011 to 2015. On the NEDC test (listings 2011 to 2015), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 36.2 to 61.4 mpg, with CO2 of 119 to 184 g/km.

A brake pipe in the engine compartment may have been incorrectly positioned and could foul the engine. In extreme cases the pipe may fail and allow brake fluid to leak.
Remedy
On affected vehicles check position and condition of brake pipe. Reposition or replace pipe as necessary.
