How many MINI cars are on the road?
There were 893,867 MINI cars licensed in Great Britain at the end of March 2026, and a further 60,076 declared off the road (SORN). That is 2.7% of all licensed cars, or about 1 in 38, making MINI the No. 15 make on the road. That is the most on the road at any year end since 2001. Petrol makes up 76.3% of licensed MINI cars, against 54.6% of all cars.

Cars of the same ages pass 78.4% of the time, so MINI does better than average for the age of its cars, by 5.3 points.
