How many Ford Fusions are left in Great Britain?

There were 40,463 Ford Fusions licensed in Great Britain at the end of March 2026, and a further 5,604 declared off the road (SORN). That is 60.9% fewer than the peak of 103,585 in 2012.

Most common Ford Fusion MOT defects and advisories

The single most common reason a Ford Fusion failed its MOT in 2025 was “Stop lamp: not working”, on 19.2% of 19,577 failed tests. 67.9% of tests ended with at least one advisory, a problem to watch that did not fail the test; the most common was “Rigid brake pipes: corroded, covered in grease or other material”. The same fault on any wheel or side counts once.

Of the 42,566 Ford Fusions licensed in the UK at the end of 2025, 61.4% have an engine of 1,301cc to 1,400cc, and 38.6% have an engine of 1,501cc to 1,600cc. The share with an engine of 1,301cc to 1,400cc has fallen from 67.9% in 2014 to 61.4%. Petrols made up 73.6% of those licensed in 2014 and 77.8% in 2025.

Ford Fusion fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Ford Fusion from 2002 to 2012. On the NEDC test (listings 2002 to 2012), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 36.2 to 64.2 mpg, with CO2 of 116 to 186 g/km.
