Police recorded 429 collisions with the A36 as the first road from 2021 to 2025, 106 of them fatal or serious, including 7 fatal. That is 25.7 per 100 million vehicle miles, lower than the 31.5 for all A-roads in Great Britain. On average there were 1.3 a year for each mile of road.
