Most common Rover 75 MOT defects and advisories

The single most common reason a Rover 75 failed its MOT in 2025 was “Component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength”, on 17.4% of 2,493 failed tests. 67.8% of tests ended with at least one advisory, a problem to watch that did not fail the test; the most common was “Rigid brake pipes: corroded, covered in grease or other material”. Rover 75 fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Rover 75 from 2000, when the data begins, to 2006. On the NEDC test (listings 2000 to 2006), official combined fuel economy for its petrol, diesel and other fuel versions ranges from 21.1 to 50.0 mpg, with CO2 of 154 to 319 g/km.
