Not every Citroën Dispatch is affected. Each recall covers cars built on particular dates or with
particular VINs, which DVSA’s file does not list in full. To check a specific car, use
GOV.UK’s vehicle recall check with its registration, or ask
the manufacturer or a dealer, who can check the VIN.
97% of the Citroën Dispatches on the DVLA record are vans, and DVSA’s recalls cover every
body type, so some of these recalls may apply only to vans.

Affected vehicles may have been equipped with rear brake discs out of specification. These brake discs have insufficient contact with the wheel hub resulting in abnormal stress concentration.
Remedy
Check the rear brake discs and replace them and the brake pads if necessary.

Vehicles may be affected by incorrect performance of the On-Board-Diagnostics related to Selective Catalytic Reduction system and/or Diesel Particle Filter. The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may not illuminate in the event of a malfunction and therefore does not comply with emission regulations.
Remedy
Update the Engine Control Unit software to ensure compliance to regulations.

Defect
Affected vehicles may have been equipped with the incorrect rear springs which can result in impaired driving behaviour when fully loaded or a risk of rear spring detachment in a worst-case scenario when empty.
Remedy
Replace both rear springs.

On affected vehicles there could be a loss of ground connections for some electrical harnesses which could result in a worst-case scenario in the loss of several vehicle functions with safety impacts and a risk of erratic behaviour of the vehicle.

Electrical harness could move from original position and weaken the harness

The rear window electrical harness could become displaced from its original position and present a potential thermal issue.
Remedy
Check the routing of harness and replace the electrical harness if necessary. Add a fastening clip to ensure that the electrical harness will be maintained in its normal position.
One or more fixations of the seatbelts lower bolts may not be tightened correctly

Defect
The tightening and positioning of the seat belt lower bolts may be incorrect.
Remedy
This campaign consists of checking and if necessary correcting both the position of the bolt and the tightening torque of all of the lower fixings of the seat belts.
Fuel tubes under body may become damaged over time

The fuel pipes under the body may have been damaged over time due to a relative movement between these pipes and their surroundings
Remedy
Check the condition of the fuel pipes and replacing them if necessary. New protection will be fitted on all vehicles to prevent this damage in the future.
Front suspension may not be to correct specification

Possible slackening of the front wishbone ball joint.
Remedy
Increasing the tightening torque of the ball joint and adding thread lock if the ball joint threads are found to be rusty or loose the ball joint will be replaced.
Excessive loading of the front suspension could result in the loosening of the front wishbone lower ball joints

The tow ball bracket could not withstand mechanical constraints when subjected to the highest stress levels which can occur during the vehicle's lifetime.
Remedy
The manufacturer’s remedy involves the replacement of the tow ball support bracket with a redesigned version.
Cooling system strategy could overheat the engine.

Defect
The cooling system strategy and the maximum temperature alert could cause the engine to overheat this may cause an oil leak from the sump drain cap. Due to the incorrect operation of the warning system there is no driver alert.
Remedy
The remedy involves downloading new engine management software.

Defect
On the affected vehicles the tightening of a sealing plug on the engine oil gallery may not be correct to specification.This could lead over time to an oil leak which in rare cases could result in oil leaking on to the road.
Remedy
The remedy consists of tightening the engine oil gallery sealing plug to the correct torque.

An engine component may not be to specification which could result in loss of engine performance. This may lead to the engine stalling and potentially causing an engine failure. In very unlikely circumstances the vehicle speed may increase without warning but will stop on its own after a few seconds.
Remedy
On affected vehicles carry out a functional diagnostic check of the engine. If necessary replace the engine.

A possible nonconformity of an internal component of the starter motor relay could affect the control of the starter motor. This could adversely affect the starting operation and damage the starter motor due to overheating and in extreme cases there is a risk of fire.
Remedy
On affected vehicles check and where necessary replace the starter motor relay.

Incorrect assembly of the steering rack which could cause the loss of the mechanical link between the steering pinion valve and the steering rack during parking manoeuvres at full lock.
Remedy
Check affected vehicles and where necessary replace the steering rack.

Defect
It has been identified that due to a possible non-conformity of certain seals on the vehicle’s body there is the possibility that water can enter the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The occupants should experience either wet carpets and or a possible damp smell. However the ingress of water into the cabin could affect the electrical operation of the airbag module which could lead to an unexpected deployment of the airbag.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles to add additional sealant to the body interfaces and if required to replace any interior components damaged by the water ingress.

Malfunctions in electrical systems

Defect
It has been identified that some ground connections of the cabin wiring harness and the fixings of the airbag control unit may not be to specification. This issue or non-compliance could cause erratic malfunctions of certain electrical equipment even in very rare cases causing the engine to cut-off or airbags malfunction.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles to check tightness of the ground connections and airbag control unit fixings. If required these will need rectification.

On the affected vehicles a possible nonconformity of certain seals on the vehicle’s body could lead to water ingress in the passenger compartment. This may affect the operation of the passenger air bag. Unintended deployment is possible.

The fuel filter's integrated heater may be defective and could cause the cover to distort. This could cause air ingress and fuel egress. Either could cause poor starting and a warning light should illuminate

Defect
On affected vehicles; Under certain conditions the fuel leak off pipe may become insecure at the connection to the injector. If this happens fuel may leak form the connection. Fuel may accumulate in the engine compartment and vehicle users will be aware of a smell of fuel.
Remedy
Inspect connection on affected vehicles and where necessary replace the fuel leak off return pipe fixing with new adhesive.

Wiper motor may fail

Defect
An internal fault with the wiper motor could cause it to stop working. In some rare cases the windscreen wipers may stop working while in operation.
Remedy
Recall affected vehicles and check the manufacturing date of the wiper motor and add a supplementary earth wiring harness if necessary.

Loss of steering

The steering column to steering wheel shaft may not have been assembled correctly. If not corrected noise and play will become apparent and if these warnings are not acted on eventually steering control could be lost.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary refit the steering column correctly to the steering wheel shaft.

Some tyres may have suffered superficial damage when the vehicle was being transported. The front Left hand tyre may have localised damage on the tread or the inner side. The tyre may rip and deflate.
Remedy
Carry out a visual check of the condition of the tyre in the affected areas and replace the tyre if necessary.

Power steering assistance may fail

It is possible that the wiring harness for the power assisted steering motor may come in contact with other components in the engine bay. Should this occur then it is possible that the power steering assistance on this large vehicle may become affected.
Remedy

It has been identified that on affected vehicles a non conformity within the accelerator pedal assembly may cause interference and prevent the pedal from returning to its original position. This may result in the vehicle maintaining a degree of acceleration which can be overcome by firm braking.

An inadequate weld on the bottom engine mounting tie bar may fail and cause a serious engine vibration and separation of one of the driveshafts.

Water ingress into the underbonnet vacuum electrovalves may cause a reduction in power assistance at the brake pedal. Malfunction of the electrovalves could also adversely affect the engine exhaust emissions.
Remedy
Replace the three electrovalves as a precaution and install a protective shield over them.

Defect
Premature wear of the handbrake ratchet pawl may lead to inadvertent release of the handbrake. Problem of material hardness discovered in Quality Control tests.
Remedy
All vehicles from the period of production that may have a defective lever to be recalled and a new lever fitted.
