958 battery electric cars were licensed in the Isle of Anglesey at the end of June 2026, 2.4% of all cars, 16th lowest of 361 councils. With plug-in hybrids, 1,437 cars plug in. A year earlier there were 693.

Of the privately kept cars, which are registered at home addresses, 1.9% are battery electric (710 cars), 4th lowest of 22 councils in Wales. Companies keep 25.9% of the area’s battery electric cars, against 4.3% of its cars overall. There are also 57 battery electric vans.
