Of the privately kept cars, which are registered at home addresses, 3.3% are battery electric (6,341 cars), 2nd highest of 15 councils in the Yorkshire and the Humber. Companies keep 17.1% of the area’s battery electric cars, against 4.3% of its cars overall. There are also 223 battery electric vans.
