Of the privately kept cars, which are registered at home addresses, 3.0% are battery electric (5,559 cars), 2nd highest of 15 councils in the Yorkshire and the Humber. Companies keep 18.4% of the area’s battery electric cars, against 4.3% of its cars overall. There are also 194 battery electric vans.
