2,181 battery electric cars were licensed in North East Lincolnshire at the end of June 2026, 2.9% of all cars, 63rd lowest of 361 councils. With plug-in hybrids, 3,610 cars plug in. A year earlier there were 1,468.

Of the privately kept cars, which are registered at home addresses, 2.3% are battery electric (1,632 cars), 2nd lowest of 15 councils in the Yorkshire and the Humber. Companies keep 25.2% of the area’s battery electric cars, against 5.4% of its cars overall. There are also 92 battery electric vans.
