Vauxhall Mokka fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Vauxhall Mokka from 2013, and still lists it. On the WLTP test (listings 2024 to 2026), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and petrol hybrid versions ranges from 44.8 to 62.8 mpg, with CO2 of 102 to 142 g/km; electric versions have an official range of 196 to 271 miles. On the older NEDC test (listings 2013 to 2018), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 39.8 to 72.4 mpg, with CO2 of 103 to 165 g/km.

Defect
Affected vehicles may have been assembled with contact or with a reduced clearance between the Gasoline Particulate Filter pipe and the pole protection cap of the 48V Belt Starter Generator. There is a possibility of contact between these components leading to water infiltration and an electrical arch which could trigger a thermal event.
Remedy
Replace the pole protection cap of the 48V Belt Starter Generator. Check the distance between the Gasoline Particulate Filter pipe and the pole protection cap of the 48V Belt Starter Generator and re‑position or replace the pipe if required.
