Renault Kangoo engine sizes and fuel types

Of the 11,010 Renault Kangoos licensed in the UK at the end of 2025, 48.1% have an engine of 1,501cc to 1,600cc, and 26.5% have an engine of 1,401cc to 1,500cc. The share with an engine of 1,501cc to 1,600cc has grown from 33.0% in 2014 to 48.1%. Petrols made up 66.4% of those licensed in 2014 and 72.2% in 2025.

Renault Kangoo fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Renault Kangoo from 2000, when the data begins, to 2011. On the NEDC test (listings 2000 to 2011), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 31.4 to 54.3 mpg, with CO2 of 138 to 212 g/km.

Rear Door Top Door Strikers

Defect
On certain vehicles the rear swing door strikers have a prominent character. Injuries may occur when entering or exiting from the rear of the vehicle (e.g. during loading or unloading).
Remedy
The preventive measure is the addition of protective covers on the door strikers at the top of the two rear swing doors.
