Renault 4 MOT reliability
There were not enough MOT tests of Renault 4s in 2025 to publish reliable figures: we need at least 1,000 tests of cars aged three and over. Cars have their first MOT at three years old, so newer models appear once they reach that age. How we work out MOT figures.
Renault 4 engine sizes and fuel types
Of the 269 Renault 4s licensed in the UK at the end of 2025, 46.8% have an engine of 1,101cc to 1,200cc, and 36.8% have an engine of 801cc to 900cc. The share with an engine of 1,101cc to 1,200cc has fallen from 60.1% in 2014 to 46.8%. Diesels made up 2.3% of those licensed in 2014 and 0.0% in 2025.
