Vauxhall Signum fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Vauxhall Signum from 2004 to 2009. On the NEDC test (listings 2004 to 2009), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 25.2 to 47.9 mpg, with CO2 of 159 to 269 g/km.

Defect
On affected vehicles the chemicals in the Takata airbag inflators may deteriorate over time. This may cause the inflators to rupture with too much force in a crash leading to serious injury or death in a worst-case scenario.

Replace the driver airbag module.
