Toyota Hiace engine sizes and fuel types
Of the 680 Toyota Hiaces licensed in the UK at the end of 2025, 23.7% have an engine of 2,401cc to 2,500cc, and 16.6% have an engine of 2,601cc to 2,700cc. The share with an engine of 2,601cc to 2,700cc has grown from 4.7% in 2014 to 16.6%. Diesels made up 87.6% of those licensed in 2014 and 62.4% in 2025.

Toyota Hiace fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Toyota Hiace from 2007 to 2011. On the NEDC test (listings 2007 to 2011), official combined fuel economy for its diesel versions ranges from 33.6 mpg, with CO2 of 221 g/km.
