Most common SsangYong Rodius MOT defects and advisories

SsangYong Rodius fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the SsangYong Rodius from 2006 to 2013. On the NEDC test (listings 2006 to 2013), official combined fuel economy for its diesel versions ranges from 28.5 to 37.7 mpg, with CO2 of 196 to 267 g/km.

Front lower ball joint may fail

Defect
Due to a manufacturing issue with the front lower ball joint there is a possibility that the surface of the ball joint may be damaged while driving. If the vehicle is operated continuously the ball joint may experience excessive damage and fail.
Remedy
All vehicles identified will have both front lower ball joints replaced
