The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Peugeot 4007 from 2008 to 2011. On the NEDC test (listings 2008 to 2011), official combined fuel economy for its diesel versions ranges from 38.7 to 40.3 mpg, with CO2 of 185 to 194 g/km.

Defect
On the affected vehicles the windscreen wiper motor breather system may not be To the correct specification. This could in some cases result in water ingress leading to jamming of the motor due to corrosion. This could cause the wipers to cease operation or not start which in turn could result in restricted visibility for the driver.
Remedy
Replace the windscren wiper motor and one of the windscreen wiper mechanism rods.
