Engine may stall

Defect
It has been identified that an unused tyre pressure monitoring system electrical connector may become corroded and short circuit. This can lead to a variety of conditions including dead battery inoperative cruise control and engine non- start or stall
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have all unused tyre monitoring system electrical connections removed and the wiring sealed with heat shrink.

Headlights may not self level correctly

Launched 21 April 2008 DVSA recall R/2007/185 Manufacturer ref. G31

Defect
It has been established that the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) may be configured incorrectly thus preventing the headlamp levelling system from operating correctly.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the TIPM re-configured.

Risk of fire

Launched 15 February 2008 DVSA recall R/2007/168 Manufacturer ref. G39

Defect
It has been identified that engine coolant might be drawn into the left side cooling fan motor connector. Should this occur an electrical short circuit will arise which may result in a fire within the engine compartment.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have a left side radiator cooling fan motor wire overlay installed. Additionally the left side cooling fan motor connector will be inspected for damage. Vehicles found with a damaged radiator cooling fan motor connector will have the fan motor replaced.

Front door latches could fail to operate

Launched 15 February 2008 DVSA recall R/2007/157 Manufacturer ref. G33

Defect
It has been identified that the front door latch cables may; during certain operating conditions become detached from the interior release handle housing. This can result in the door latch sticking in the unlatched position and the lock function to become inoperative.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have a latch cable retaining clip installed on the right and left front door interior release handle housings.
