Dodge Avenger fuel economy and CO2

The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Dodge Avenger from 2007 to 2009. On the NEDC test (listings 2007 to 2009), official combined fuel economy for its petrol and diesel versions ranges from 31.7 to 45.6 mpg, with CO2 of 164 to 211 g/km.

It has been identified that an unused tyre pressure monitoring system electrical connector may become corroded and short circuit. This can lead to a variety of conditions including dead battery inoperative cruise control and engine non- start or stall
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have all unused tyre monitoring system electrical connections removed and the wiring sealed with heat shrink.
