Citroën C6s licensed in Great Britain
Numbers peaked in 2010 and have fallen every year since, as older cars are scrapped faster than new ones are registered.
There were not enough MOT tests of Citroën C6s in 2025 to publish reliable figures: we need at least 1,000 tests of cars aged three and over. Cars have their first MOT at three years old, so newer models appear once they reach that age. How we work out MOT figures.
Citroën C6 registrations over time

Official figures from laboratory type-approval tests. VCA says they may not be achieved in
real-world driving, and should not be used to rank cars with similar figures.
Engine sizes are rounded to the nearest 0.1 litre. A version is one line in
VCA’s data (description, gearbox, engine and fuel), counted once however many years it was
listed.

Citroën C6 safety recalls
DVSA lists 6 safety recalls for the Citroën C6 since 1992, the first in 2006. The most recent was launched on 22 October 2009.
Brake performance may be affected
Launched 22 October 2009DVSA recall R/2009/121
Defect
Residual low pressure persists in the power braking vacuum circuit which may result in the loss of power assistance when braking.
Remedy
Recall affected vehicles to fit a calibrated air vent in the vacuum circuit.
A recall applies to cars built on particular dates or with particular VINs, not to every Citroën C6. The details come from manufacturers through DVSA, which says they may be delayed or
incomplete. To check a specific car, use GOV.UK’s vehicle recall check or ask the manufacturer or a
dealer. How we match recalls to models.
