Electric cars in Oxfordshire

18,135 battery electric cars were licensed in Oxfordshire at the end of March 2026, 4.6% of all cars. With plug-in hybrids, 27,829 cars plug in. A year earlier there were 13,735.

Of the privately kept cars, which are registered at home addresses, 3.7% are battery electric (13,737 cars). Companies keep 24.3% of the area’s battery electric cars, against 6.5% of its cars overall. There are also 759 battery electric vans.
