Saab 9-5 fuel economy and CO2
The Vehicle Certification Agency’s new car data lists the Saab 9-5 from 2000, when the data begins, to 2011. On the NEDC test (listings 2000 to 2011), official combined fuel economy for its petrol, diesel and other fuel versions ranges from 24.8 to 53.3 mpg, with CO2 of 139 to 271 g/km.

Defect
It has been identified that in the unlikely event of a collision where there is a need for the deployment of the driver airbag it is a possible that the drivers airbag module may separate form its mounting on the steering wheel horn plate.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the drivers airbag module.
