Short circuit may occur

Defect
The cable within the Clock Spring situated in the steering wheel can delimitate and become entangled within the assembly. This can cause a short circuit which can activate the horn or lights without warning and in extreme cases the driver's airbag.
Remedy
Recall affected vehicles for the replacement of the Clock Spring and associated wiring.

Jack may fail during wheel change

Defect
In certain loaded conditions the vehicle jack may fail causing the vehicle to drop during a wheel change operation.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the existing jack with one of a new design.

Battery harness tie band needs rerouting

Launched 9 June 2005 DVSA recall R/2005/075 Manufacturer ref. SA001/05

Defect
The battery harness may not be sufficiently secured. There is a chance if not noticed during servicing that the insulation of the harness could chaff and expose the wiring. This could then generate sparks and excessive heat within the engine bay.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and where necessary fit an extra cable securing band.
