Toyota Aygo X cars licensed in Great Britain at the end of each year
There were not enough MOT tests of Toyota Aygo X cars in 2025 to publish reliable figures: we need at least 1,000 tests of cars aged three and over. Cars have their first MOT at three years old, so newer models appear once they reach that age. How we work out MOT figures.

Toyota Aygo X safety recalls
DVSA lists 5 safety recalls for the Toyota Aygo X since 1992, the first in 2022. The most recent was launched on 17 June 2024.
Audio Head Unit Replacement on Certain Aygo X
Launched 17 June 2024DVSA recall R/2024/195Manufacturer ref. ZGG28 (24SD-050)
Defect
Affected vehicles are equipped with an audio head unit which has map data and speed limit information which are used as an input for the ISA (Intelligent Speed Assistance). Due to inappropriate software there is a possibility that the audio head unit display turns black and the unit stops working. If this condition occurs the rear camera image is not displayed during reverse manoeuvres and the ISA function does not work. As a result the vehicles do not comply with EU regulations and the risk of an accident increases.
A recall applies to cars built on particular dates or with particular VINs, not to every Toyota Aygo X. The details come from manufacturers through DVSA, which says they may be delayed or
incomplete. To check a specific car, use GOV.UK’s vehicle recall check or ask the manufacturer or a
dealer. How we match recalls to models.
