Heater fan motor may overheat

Launched 30 July 2013 DVSA recall R/2013/082 Manufacturer ref. PZ3B1

Defect
It is possible that the heater fan motor may seize at slow speed. Under extreme conditions this may cause the internal temperature of the heater fan circuit to increase. If this occurs the thermal fuse may not cut-out which will result in an overheating of the fan and its surrounding area. The driver will find smoke being exhaled via the heater vents and in extreme circumstances there could be a vehicle fire.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the heater motor thermal fuse with an up-rated item.

Brake lights may fail

Defect
In some cases a higher electric current may cause the shift solenoid circuit contact in the stop lamp switch to burn/melt. Additionally the auto transmission selector may not move from the Park position
Remedy
Recall affected vehicles and replace stop lamp switch.

Fuel may leak

Launched 11 January 2010 DVSA recall R/2009/144 Manufacturer ref. PX9A3

Defect
It has been identified that due to an engineering fault in production a dimensional variation has occurred to the fuel pump seating. This may result in a possible fuel leak from the pump seating area whilst the vehicle is being fuelled.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the fuel pump gasket and O replaced.
