Defect
On affected vehicles the high-pressure fuel pump may not have been properly fastened to the cylinder head during assembly. If the sealing connection is not secure fuel can escape under high pressure resulting in a sudden and substantial fuel leak
Remedy
Check the screw connections of the high-pressure fuel pump. If necessary replace the high-pressure fuel pump and fuel lines.

Defect
The integrity of the quick connector of the fuel line located in the engine compartment may be compromised.
Remedy
The fuel line including the quick connector will be replaced with a newly designed quick connector.
