The mounting screws of the steering rack may become loose.
Remedy
Replace the fastening screws of the hydraulic steering rack assembly to the front driving axle including an additional application of specific Loctite adhesive 243 to the securing screws.

Poor performance of the fuel injection system due to a fuel contamination (not linked with a quality of the fuel itself).
Remedy
Replacement of the fuel filter cartridge increasing the filtration system and testing the injectors. In case of checks with negative result the electro-injectors will be replaced.

Defect
It is possible that under certain conditions the Momentum Stability Regulator (MSR) may not engage if the vehicle is driven too harshly. This could have an adverse affect on the stability of the vehicle and an unexperienced driver may loss control of the vehicle.

Defect
Possible fitting of a non-conforming fixing screw on the front axle of vehicles with Mecbal suspension systems. If the non-conforming screws are fitted in the worst case it is possible that the front axle could become insecure and the control of the vehicle lost.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to carry out checks of fixing screws and replace where necessary.

Braking efficiency may decrease

Defect
On-going research and quality checks have revealed that vehicles may be affected by possible interference between the brake hoses and the gearbox leading to potential brake hose abrasions and dispersion of brake fluid with decreased braking efficiency.
Remedy
Vehicles will be inspected and brake hoses checked for damage. The retaining clips will be repositioned and if required brake hoses replaced.

Handbrake may not engaged correctly

Defect
The hand brake release button can become detached from the ratchet control rod which prevents the pawl at the rear of the lever from engaging the ratchet. the hand brake must then be applied by the driver holding the lever in the engaged position.
Remedy
Two solutions have been developed. a. re-fitment of using high strength loctite adhesive. b. Replacement of the button.

Defect
It is possible that the side lights may extinguish within 30 seconds of the ignition being turned off even when the side lights have been selected. This could affect vehicle visibility during darkness.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles to check side light function and if required modify the electrical wiring in the CVM unit.

Loss of braking efficiency

Defect
It has been identified that a brake pipe may have been incorrectly secured to the bulkhead with a plastic clip. As a consequence; under certain circumstancesthe brake pipes can vibrate out of the clips and could fracture resulting in a loss of braking efficiency.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a steel securing bracket which will have the addition of rubber insulation.

Parking brake may fail to function correctly

Defect
It has been identified that the parking brake cables may be incorrectly located in the vicinity of the rear suspension leaf spring. In this condition the functionality of the parking brake may be compromised.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the parking brake cables repositioned.

Possible loss of steering

Defect
The possibility exists that the steering input shaft may be incorrectly secured to the steering rack. This is a situation which if left un-rectified could lead to steering failure.
Remedy
Subject vehicles will have the presence of the steering shaft retaining screw and green marker paint (indicating the correct tightening torque for the screw) checked. If the screw or paint mark are missing the situation will be rectified to conform to specification.

The possibility exists that the bolts which secure the steering rack to the front axle may be of the incorrect grade 8.8 instead of R10. A situation which may result in failure of the bolts.
Remedy

Rear axle spring support bracket may crack

Defect
There is a possibility that the rear axle spring support brackets may crack which could affect the vehicle's stability.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the welding of the spring support brackets checked for cracks. Should any cracking be found the drive axle casing will be changed.

The gearbox output shaft oil seal may become damaged by heat from the exhaust catalytic convertor. Gearbox oil leaking past a damaged oil seal may result in a fire hazard.
Remedy
