Defect: Affected vehicles may have been fitted with fuel return pipes not according to specification which can lead to a fuel leak.
Remedy: Check the fuel return pipes and replace if necessary.

Fiat Professional Ducato. Instrument panel cluster software

Launched 4 September 2025 DVSA recall R/2025/320 Manufacturer ref. F50I

Defect: On affected vehicles the Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) function may remain deactivated in a specific use case. If the customer seeks to reactivate the AEB after previously deactivating it during the same driving cycle (key on/off) it will remain deactivated however the icon on the cluster to alert about deactivation remains off. This does not meet regulatory requirements.
Remedy: Update front camera software.

Defect: Affected vehicles may have been fitted with the incorrect radio. The radio fitted does not have rear view camera functionality and therefore may not comply with regulatory requirements.
Remedy: Replace the radio.

Defect: Affected vehicles may have the urea system management menu missing from the instrument panel. This may result in warning messages not being displayed on the instrument panel cluster depending on the urea level. In this condition the vehicle does not comply to emission regulatory requirements.
Remedy: Check and if necessary install modified software.

Intercooler sleeve may detach from the throttle body

Defect: The intercooler sleeve may detach from the throttle body. The engine management warning light will illuminate and a loss of power may occur.
Remedy: On affected vehicles replace the current retainer with a new version to ensure the sleeve connection between intercooler sleeve and throttle body.

EGR pipe could fracture due to a potential non-conformity

Defect: The EGR pipe could fracture due to a potential non-conformity the fractured pipe may damage the alternator resulting in a loss of battery voltage and potentially a loss of engine power.
Remedy: The pipe must be checked and if incorrect replaced with a new part.

Camshaft may fail

Defect: Due to an error in the production process the engine camshaft may break.
Remedy: Check affected vehicles and where necessary replace the camshaft.

Electronic systems may be deactivated

Launched 22 January 2016 DVSA recall R/2015/255 Manufacturer ref. 5956

Defect: In some circumstances the driver and passenger may experience consequent switching off of the instrument panel light and possible deactivation of other electronic systems such as the ABS and airbags. The concern is caused by loose connections at the ignition switch contact holder block.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the ignition switch contact holder block.

Power steering pump may fail

Launched 29 December 2015 DVSA recall R/2015/217 Manufacturer ref. 5945

Defect: The batch number of the power steering pump must be checked and if found to be from a faulty batch replaced. On the faulty batches there is nonconformity of the external supply and in certain circumstances the power steering pump may fail causing the driver to use additional input to steer the vehicle therefore delaying the directional movement of the vehicle.
Remedy: Check the production date of the pump and if the power steering pump is from a faulty batch replace the pump.

Loss of control

Defect: The tyres fitted to affected vehicles are incompatible with the weight capacity of the vehicle. This may cause a tyre failure due to incorrect loading of the vehicle.
Remedy: Replace existing tyres with those of a load index compatible with the vehicle's weight capacity.

2011 2 recalls

Rear axle may move

Launched 24 October 2011 DVSA recall R/2011/139 Manufacturer ref. 5593

Defect: It is possible the rear axle leaf spring retaining bolts were not tightened to the correct specification during production. This could allow movement between the axle and leaf spring. In extreme circumstances this could cause the vehicle to lose control.
Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles to replace the U bolts with new items and tighten them to the correct specification.

Spare wheel may detach

Defect: The spare wheel located under the vehicle may become detached from the vehicle.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the spare wheel lifting and securing mechanism.

2007 6 recalls

Brakes may fail

Launched 7 December 2007 DVSA recall R/2007/172 Manufacturer ref. 5263

Defect: Due to the possibility of a fault in the production process the flexible rubber brake hoses may not have been correctly vulcanised. As a consequence may partially or totally restrict the internal flow of the brake hydraulic fluid. Should this happen a reduction in efficiency during braking would occur.
Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the hoses checked to identify if they are within the affected batch. If this is the case they will be replaced with quality assured items.

Steering could become increasingly stiff.

Defect: It has been identified that; due to a possible lack of lubricant between the steering rack and pinion the steering may become increasingly stiff to operate. This can eventually lead to damage to the steering rack teeth. As a consequence the steering operation of the vehicle may become increasingly difficult.
Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the steering rack inspected for damage. If no damage is evident the rack and pinion will be lubricated. Should any damage be in evidence the steering rack will be replaced.

Front windscreen wipers may become inoperative

Defect: It has been identified that the possibility exists that water may ingress into the front windscreen wiper motor. Should this occur the wipers may become inoperative. In conditions of poor visibility this may result in impaired driver visibility.
Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the front windscreen wiper motor fitted with a protective cover.

Tyre valve may break causing rapid deflation (steel wheels)

Defect: It has been identified that due to manufacture from an incorrect material the tyre inflation valve may break. Should this occur rapid deflation of the tyre and possible vehicle instability would occur.
Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the tyre inflation valve replaced on all steel wheels including the spare.

Possibility of reduced braking performance

Launched 18 May 2007 DVSA recall R/2007/059 Manufacturer ref. 5141

Defect: Due to the inlet filter for the EGR valve being in an exposed position there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This could result in the possibility of ice forming in the brake servo vacuum pipe in conditions of low ambient temperature. As a consequence this may lead to reduced servo assistance to the braking system.
Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the EGR solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If theses are not evident new solenoids with separate air filters will be fitted.

Dropside panel may detach

Launched 9 March 2007 DVSA recall R/2007/011

Defect: It has been identified that the possibility exists that breakage of the dropside hinge fastening plate may occur on vehicles fitted with a factory installed dropside body. This can result in the detachment of the dropside panel.
Remedy: Subject vehicles will be recalled at which time the hinge fastening plates will be changed.

U-bolts on rear axle may break

Launched 11 August 2006 DVSA recall R/2006/120

Defect: The U bolts securing the leaf spring to the rear axle may not have been tightened to the correct torque. This may result in the U bolts breaking.
Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the U bolts checked to ensure there is no damage and that they have been tightened to the correct torque.

Possibility of loss of brake fluids and extended pedal travel

Launched 1 October 2004 DVSA recall R/2004/181 Manufacturer ref. 4852

Defect: The brake hoses may chafe on the wheel aches and in extreme cases cause a brake fluid leak. The driver will be informed of the defect by the illumination of a warning lamp on the dashboard. If ignored then this will result in longer than expected stopping distances.
Remedy: Recall the affected vehicles and visually inspect the front brake hoses reinforcement and protection. The brake hoses if worn will be replaced.

Possibility that the accelerator pedal could foul on the floor

Defect: Possibility that the accelerator may foul on the floor mounted pedal stop
Remedy: Recall likely to be affected vehicles and fit a modified throttle pedal stop.

Interior fan wiring may chafe on dashboard support

Defect: The interior fan wiring may chafe on a dashboard support. This could result in a short circuit and a fire in the fan unit.
Remedy: Fit additional insulation and protection to the fan electrical wiring.

Water ingress to ABS control unit

Launched 9 December 2002 DVSA recall R/2002/169 Manufacturer ref. 4482

Defect: Water may enter the ABS (antilock brake) control unit through a harness connector. This will cause the ABS control unit to malfunction and the fault warning lamp to illuminate.
Remedy: Fit a new ABS wiring harness which has watertight connectors.

Handbrake concern

Launched 15 April 2002 DVSA recall R/2002/079 Manufacturer ref. 4446

Defect: The handbrake cable may have been incorrectly fitted and could become disconnected from the rear brake mechanism. This would result in the handbrake becoming ineffective.
Remedy: Check that the handbrake cable is correctly connected to the rear brake mechanism and fit a new cable where it is not.

Defect: Fuel tank rear mountings may not inadequately secure the tank with a risk of possible disengagement.
Remedy: Recall affected vehicles and fit reinforcement plates to rear tank mountings.

Possible reduction in brake servo assistance

Launched 20 March 1998 DVSA recall R/1997/086

Defect: On batteries fitted with non-watertight caps rainwater from the windscreen may run into the battery and result in a leakage of battery contents. This leakage may damage the adjacent fabric reinforced rubber brake servo pipe and reduce or cancel the servo assistance available when braking.
Remedy: Affected vehicles are being recalled to have a cover fitted to the battery and checking of the brake servo pipe for damage.
